Student Ambassadors

The SPSU Student Ambassadors are high-energy students who act in conjunction with the Recruitment Office to promote Southern Polytechnic State University through a variety of campus events. SPSU Ambassadors volunteer to represent the University in a responsible, ethical and professional manner, while portraying a positive image of the institution on and off campus.

  • Recruit the upcoming freshmen class
  • Conduct (1) campus tour per week each semester. 
    • Tours are given weekdays at 10am and 2pm. Tour guides are required to arrive 20 minutes prior and the tour will last 1.5 hours (info session included). 
    Required to work the 2014-2015 Open House events:
    • October 11, 2014 
    • November 8, 2014 
    • February 21, 2015 
    • April 18, 2015 
  • Volunteer for as many events as possible including, but not limited to, high school fairs, group tours, college & career fairs, etc. 
  • Attend monthly meetings
  • Complete Ambassador training
  • Other duties as requested


  • A minimum of one semester completed at SPSU
  • Maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Participate in our competitive 3-part Ambassador interview process:
    • Round 1: Group Interviews Friday April 18th 4:30pm-6:30pm
    • Round 2: Hornet Hangout at Open House Saturday April 19th 7:45am-9:45am 
    • Round 3 (invite only): Final Interview Friday April 25th 4-6:30pm

2014-2015 Ambassadors will serve from Fall 2014-Summer 2015. All Ambassadors are required to complete training prior to the Fall semester in mid-late July 2014.

  • Round 3 (invite only): Final Interview Friday April 25th 4-6:30pm

*This is mandatory to be considered for an Ambassador position.
