Goal 5 - Research

Rationale:

CSE serves the community not only through its service and teaching activities.  CSE is also uniquely posed to make a significant contribution to the community through its research activities into all aspects of computing and its applications, including computing education.

Subgoals

  1. Provide travel support for faculty and students to attend conferences to present papers and posters
  2. Recognize faculty with an exceptional scholarly activity each year
  3. Involve students in faculty research
  4. Seek external grants and contracts
  5. Increase awareness of the research conducted by CSE faculty and students.
