After Hours/Emergency Care

WELLSTAR URGENT CARE

If seriously ill (not an emergency), physicians are available at Wellstar: (770) 955-8620.
Directions:

  1. Right (Southeast) out from the University onto South Marietta Parkway 120 Loop
  2. 1-75 South
  3. Take exit 261
  4. Left onto Delk Rd. SE
  5. Clinic is approximately one mile on right

Limited out-patient services for minor illnesses are provided by the school nurse, who is on duty Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 PM in the clinic located in the Recreation and Wellness Center. If the nurse cannot provide sufficient medical treatment, she may refer the student to Wellstar (see phone number and directions above) or a medical facility located near the campus. You do not have to see the campus nurse before going to Wellstar. Due to the limits on the health services provided by Southern Polytechnic state University, each student is encouraged to have adequate sickness and accident insurance through either a personal or family insurance policy.
