Prospective Students

Southern Polytechnic provides technology that allows you to become engaged in our online learning community. We currently use GeorgiaVIEW Desire2Learn as our Learning Management System, which is the technology that is the backbone of our online learning courses. Depending on the program or course, you may also use our synchronous (real time) meeting technology (Blackboard Wimba). Instructors may make use of podcasts (video or audio), streaming video, and even interactive flash animations or other multimedia technology in your classes. Students have access to SPSU's L.V. Johnson library and other campus based network services via the Hornet Connect, including online library materials. As part of the University System of Georgia you will have access to Georgia LIbrary Learning Online (GALILEO), which provides access to multiple online academic resources. Students can connect with SPSU student organizations via the SPSU OrgSync system, and students and alumni can learn about career services.

If you haven’t already done so, go to the Degrees and Certificates page and decide what type of program you are interested in pursuing. We also encourage you to contact the department offering the program and speak to a faculty member. Click here for contact information for each program.
