Library Services
The L.V. Johnson Library offers many services remotely. You can chat with a librarian
online, as well as access library journal subscriptions and other resources remotely.
As a student, you also have library privileges at other University System of Georgia libraries and the USG GALILEO resources.

Tutoring is available at SPSU during the day through the evening on most days. Visit

SPSU is home to many student organizations and groups. You can access student organization
information via the online community management system. Some student organizations

Academic Software
Discounted academic software is available for purchase for student enrolled in Southern
Polytechnic State University. Visit the University System of Georgia's Software Resource
& Services: Personal Store to learn more about the software available.
Advising
All students are assigned an advisor by their academic program. Visit the Advising website to learn more about how your academic program provides advising. If you are a freshman
or transfer student who has not declared a major, you may contact the ATTIC for advising support. The ATTIC can be reached via phone at 678-915-7361, or online

Student ID Card (Hornet Card)
The Hornet Card is used as identification to access buildings and services on campus;
it is also required for entrance to campus athletic and social events. Your Hornet
Card is also valid ID for student discounts at venues throughout the greater Atlanta
area. For online students, you may request a Hornet Card via e-mail.
In the e-mail, request your ID card and include your student ID number. You also need to indicate you're a Distance Learning Student. Your Hornet Card will be sent to the address we have on file for you with the University. In the place of your picture on your Hornet Card it will state "Request Photo ID.
If you are on our campus you are more than welcome to come to the Auxiliary Services Department to exchange that Hornet Card for one with your picture free of charge.

Degreeworks
Degreeworks is a tool that has been integrated into the BANNER registration system. It provides advising, transfer articulation and degree audit program information for students. You can access Degreeworks from within BANNER ( http://banweb.spsu.edu/). Click on the Student Services and Financial Aid link on the Main Menu within BANNER, and click Degreeworks - Degree Audit to get started.
