Teaching Assistance and Peer Mentoring Class Information

The Honors Program offers faculty the opportunity to teach junior-level classes in which students can act as teaching assistants or as peer mentors for a program (either an academic program or a student service program).

These courses can be taken by students for either academic or service credit.  If students take the classes for academic credit, the faculty member should grade them on an A - F system.  If they take the classes for service credit, they should enter their hours in Orgsync, the software management program used by Student Affairs.  They should receive credit for all hours they invest either as a teaching assistant or a peer mentor.

Faculty and students are expected to abide by the guidelines set up through the course descriptions and through the course contracts.
