If your a new Mentor, we're glad you decided to join the team!
Future City is a fun and challenging inititative with proven results. We know it may seem daunting, and there is a learning curve, but we know it will become easier once you break down the instructions.
Both Regional and National provide support in the form of Workshops, Handbooks, Webinars and Learning Blocks specially designed to make integrating Future City into the classroom easier. We also have an on-line course BeMentor provided by our national sponsor Bentley Systems to assist you. And you'll be working in partnership with an experienced Educator who knows these students.
Remember, you have an opportunity to introduce students to city planning, design and differernt types of engineering. You will also strengthen their skill sets in writing, public speaking, teamwork, time management, problem solving and computer skills. Most importantly, they'll have fun as they stretch thier imaginations. We think you'll have fun too.
