About the Foundation
The Southern Polytechnic State University Foundation, Incorporated, was established in 1976 to promote the cause of higher education, expand educational opportunities and acquire, invest and administer private gifts devoted to the diverse mission of the University.
The Foundation’s primary mission is to raise money to help the University meet its goals. As the University’s legal entity for receiving private gifts, the Foundation helps meet institutional needs not funded by the State of Georgia or by tuition and fees. These needs include academic programs; projects; equipment; research opportunities; faculty, staff and student recognition programs; academic scholarships; and buildings that add quality and value to a university education.
The Foundation receives gifts from alumni, corporations, private foundations, faculty and staff members, and friends of the University.
