SPSU participates in the Federal Direct Loan Program. Loans are based on financial
need and must be repaid over an extended period of time. Your FAFSA data determines

Pell and SEOG
Grants are awarded on the basis of financial need and need not be repaid. SPSU offers the PELL Grant and the Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG). Eligibility for each of these awards is determined by the financial data recorded on your FAFSA. Additional Grant Information.
Federal Work Study

Scholarships
SPSU awards scholarships to qualified students based on academic merit and financial need. Need-based scholarships take both financial need and academic criteria into account, while academic scholarships are based solely upon a student's specific academic program. Veterans
If you are a United States veteran with VA benefits and are enrolled in a degree program at SPSU, you may be eligible to receive payment from the VA for tuition. Additional Veteran Information.
Hope Scholarship
Georgia residents who have graduated from a Georgia high school are eligible to receive the HOPE scholarship, which covers a portion of tuition for four academic years if the student maintains a "B" average or better. Additional Hope Scholarship Information.
