What core courses do I need to take in the English, Technical Communication & Media Arts department?

Your major department can help you figure out which courses you can choose from to fulfill your core course requirements:

Once you know your requirements, visit Review your course requirement options to review course descriptions, learning outcomes, and choose the courses you'll take in the English, Technical Communication & Media Arts department.

Are English and composition the same thing?

English is a broad term that encompasses literature, language, and composition. Your first-year composition courses are classified as ENGL, or English courses. Visit the First Year Composition pages for more information.

English is not my first language. Is there somewhere I can get help with my core courses in the English, Technical Communication & Media Arts department?

The ATTIC, located in the Student Center in Suite 160, provides basic tutoring, as well as assistance to students like you who speak English as a second language. Visit ATTIC online, or call them at 678-915-7361 for help.
