The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a high-level mental abilities test (computer based) comprised of 120 partial analogies in which candidates are given 60 minutes to complete the exam.
Fluency in the English language and a broad knowledge of literature, philosophy, history, science, mathematics and fine arts will affect performance.
The total test fee is $90. The $90 fee is nonrefundable and nontransferable (within or across dates) and must be paid upon registration by phone at 678-915-3982 with a credit/debit card. If you wish to change or postpone your test date or time, your must re-register and re-pay the proctor fee of $90.

Candidates should arrive no later than ten minutes before the designated appointment time. Please click here for a campus map. The CEC off-campus building is closed, and all testing has moved to the Atrium (J) Bldg on campus.
Two forms of identification, one of which must be government-issued, with a current photograph.
The test fee covers one personal score report and up to three reports sent to institutions. Score reports will be mailed approximately three to four weeks after test administration. Upon request, a hard copy of the Preliminary Scaled Score is available at the end of the testing session. Pearson Assessments is responsible for all scores and reports mailed to candidates or institutions. All questions regarding score reporting after the test date should be directed to Pearson Assessments at (800)-622-3231.
Candidates who have taken the internet-based version of the test within the past five years do not require a Retest Admission Ticket, simply follow the registration link below. Candidates who have taken the MAT in paper-based format within the last twelve months must provide the RETEST ADMISSION TICKET (included with the previous score report) on test day. Failure to provide previous test information may invalidate any subsequent scores.

SPSU's Continuing Education Testing Center can accommodate most candidates with disabilities; however, the Testing Center should be notified several weeks before the scheduled test date. Some disabilities may require the administration of a nonstandard test. For example, Braille and large-print editions of the MAT are available for the visually impaired but ample time must be allowed to order such editions of the test. To qualify for a nonstandard test administration, candidates must contact the Testing Center at 678-915-3982.
