MAT Test [Miller Analogies Test]

The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a high-level mental abilities test (computer based) comprised of 120 partial analogies in which candidates are given 60 minutes to complete the exam.

Fluency in the English language and a broad knowledge of literature, philosophy, history, science, mathematics and fine arts will affect performance.

Instructions for the Day of the Test:

Location: SPSU Testing Center, 1100 S. Marietta Parkway, J-160, Marietta, GA 30060.

Candidates should arrive no later than ten minutes before the designated appointment time. Please click here for a campus map.  The CEC off-campus building is closed, and all testing has moved to the Atrium (J) Bldg on campus.

Materials needed for the test include:

Two forms of identification, one of which must be government-issued, with a current photograph. 

Score Reports:

The test fee covers one personal score report and up to three reports sent to institutions. Score reports will be mailed approximately three to four weeks after test administration.  Upon request, a hard copy of the Preliminary Scaled Score is available at the end of the testing session. Pearson Assessments is responsible for all scores and reports mailed to candidates or institutions.  All questions regarding score reporting after the test date should be directed to Pearson Assessments at (800)-622-3231.

Retaking the MAT:

Candidates who have taken the internet-based version of the test within the past five years do not require a Retest Admission Ticket, simply follow the registration link below.  Candidates who have taken the MAT in paper-based format within the last twelve months must provide the RETEST ADMISSION TICKET (included with the previous score report) on test day. Failure to provide previous test information may invalidate any subsequent scores.  To reorder a Retest Admission Ticket, candidates must contact Pearson at 1-800-622-3231.
