SPSU’s PPM Certificate program prepares students for the PMP Exam through review of proven methodologies, concepts and principles of project management based on the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). According to PMI, project management is comprised of five Project Management Process Groups (Initiating Processes, Planning Processes, Executing Processes, Monitoring and Controlling Processes, and Closing) Processes and ten Knowledge Areas. These ten Knowledge Areas address the domains of Project Integration Management, Project Scope Management, Project Time Management, Project Cost Management, Project Quality Management, Project Human Resources Management, Project Communications Management, Project Risk Management, Project Procurement Management, and Project Stakeholder Management.
This 84-hour course prepares you to take the PMP exam. It covers the PMP Body of Knowledge in detail and is designed for students who have at least three years of project management experience and meet the other PMI requirements for PMP certification.
