Jill Forest, M.A.

Associate Director
of Career Services

jforest@spsu.edu
Jill joined the Career and Counseling Center staff in March 2006. She greatly enjoys working with students and helping them make career related decisions and preparing them for life after college.

A native of Ohio, Jill received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University. It was during this time that she realized her talent for helping others and her passion for higher education. After her relocation to the Atlanta area, she attended Argosy University where she earned her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling. As part of her graduate program she interned for nine months at Georgia Highlands College (formerly Floyd College) and was later hired there as a Career Development Specialist.

Later she relocated to the Chicago area with her husband. There she worked at Prairie State College as a Career Advisor, helping students choose their career path, organizing job fairs and teaching Psychology part-time. A few years later, she returned to the Atlanta area and to Georgia Highlands (formerly Floyd) College where she worked as a Counselor and as Interim Director of Counseling and Career Services.

When she’s not at work, she loves to read non-fiction, (especially anything historical), listen to jazz, travel and spend time with her family.
