Welcome to Student Disability Services!

The purpose of Student Disability Services (SDS) is to coordinate services and accommodations for students with documented disabilities. SPSU is committed to providing all students access to academic, cultural, and recreational facilities. In addition, we are committed to fostering a positive attitude toward individuals with disabilities in school and in life.

If you are a new student, we encourage you to visit the links under Prospective Students and understand the process of registering for services.

If you are a current student, check out the accommodations and services we provide. Have a test coming up? Set an appointment using our online form.

Our faculty and staff pages provide information for them on working with students with disabilities and how our office can assist them.

Feel free to contact us regarding any concerns or questions about our services. Please make an appointment to register for services, or if you need guidance from the coordinator regarding a specific problem.

Our mission is based on three principles:

  1. Ensure equal access to SPSU facilities and educational services
  2. Assist students in arranging for accommodations and supporting them in their endeavors at SPSU
  3. Coordinate actions and policies that help make SPSU accessible to all students, not just those with disabilities

This in support of SPSU policy, and the various federal laws affecting individuals and students with disabilities. For more information, check out the policy link on the left navigation.
