SPREAD stands for "Southern Polytechnic’s Renewal Effort for Adult Degrees".
Many people have had to drop out of college due to changes in their circumstances,
and after a while, it becomes difficult to return. The intent of SPREAD is to get
these adults – including those with low income, current and former military, and minorities
– back on track to get a degree. One of SPREAD’s main goals is to encourage adult
students with some college credit to enroll or return to SPSU to attain a degree.
The SPREAD program also helps these students determine a plan that best suits them,
as well as develop new and revise existing support services to focus on the needs
of these target populations.
